YURUCAMP△×Ajikataya Rin-chan’s Machete

The third collaboration item with “YURUCAMP(ゆるキャン△),” a popular manga and anime work about the outdoors.
The Machete is a collaboration between Hinoura Cutlery Studio Ajikata Yasaku brand in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture and YURUCAMP.

The Machete was used by Rin-chan in the film.
The Machete is made by craftsmen in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, one of the most famous cutlery towns in Japan, and is engraved with Rin-chan’s deformed face (dumpling hair version) and the collaboration logo!
The leather case is made of thick Tochigi leather.
The roll case type, which is rare as a machete case, was originally produced.
The more you use it, the more you can enjoy the change in color!
The leather case is also engraved with Rin-chan’s deformed face (knit cap ver.) and the collaboration logo.
The deformed face of Rin-chan changes from a knit cap to her hair in a bun as the leather case is put on and taken off.
Enjoy the outdoors with the playful engraved Machete!
Normally, the bark of white oak is used for the wood pattern.
The bark is pure white with no variation, but for this collaboration, we used a part called “peony,” which has a darker grain in the center of the bark.
The chic texture enhances the feeling of an outdoor tool.

*Note
Since natural wood is used, the grain of each piece of wood is different.
The density of the engraving is affected by the grain of the wood.
We do not accept exchanges or returns based on the grain pattern or the density of the engraving.
Please understand this in advance.

A lump of iron heated to nearly 1,000 degrees Celsius is beaten by craftsmen to form the blade.
Although tools such as spring hammers have been mechanized, the fundamental manufacturing method has not changed over the past 100 years.
Kozuke” is a traditional method that has been indispensable in blade making since ancient times.
The steel is sandwiched between soft iron and beaten to produce a machete that is easy to sharpen and long-lasting.
The flat of the blade is covered with a black oxide coating to prevent rusting and to create a graceful finish.
This is an excellent product that shows the pride of craftsmanship of Sanjo, one of Japan’s foremost blacksmith towns.
The wooden handle is designed in a gently curved shape for user safety and ease of use.
This sheath hatchet is ideal for outdoor use, hiking in the mountains, and clearing branches. The double-edged blade is ideal for tasks such as chopping firewood.
The roll-type leather case is made of Tochigi leather, known for its high quality.
