Designed for safe storage and transport
To protect your blade, proper storage and safe transport are essential.
Chipping of the blade, safety during transport, and contact with other tools, these are common risks that can damage your knife.
A sheath is an essential tool to protect against them.
That’s why we created a knife sheath made from lightweight paulownia wood.
Ideal for storage and transport, it combines practicality with a design that complements the Naguri knife.

Choose from Two Types: Magnet or Wooden Pin
1.Magnet type
A built-in magnet inside the sheath securely holds the spine of the knife in place, allowing for smooth and easy insertion and removal.
*The magnet is embedded in resin, preventing direct contact with the blade and protecting it from scratches.
*Sujihiki sheaths use three magnets, while other models use two.

2.Wooden Pin Type
Insert the wooden pin through the hole in the sheath to securely lock the knife in place during storage.
*Make sure the wooden pin is fully inserted before use.

Benefits of Paulownia Wood
Burnt paulownia wood is used for the sheath material.
Paulownia has long been used in Japan to store and protect swords and other valuable tools.
Widely recognized as an ideal material for blade storage, it is highly suitable for use in knife sheaths.

・Gentle on the Blade
Paulownia wood offers natural flexibility and resilience, providing a soft contact surface that helps prevent damage to the blade.

・Moisture Control
With its naturally porous structure, paulownia helps regulate humidity, reducing the risk of rust and maintaining a stable storage environment.

・Lightweight
Exceptionally light among woods, making it easy to carry—ideal for outdoor use or home gatherings.

・Burnt Finish
The burnt treatment enhances the wood’s rich character, giving it a refined, understated look.
It also helps conceal discoloration, fingerprints, and oil stains.
Carbonization further improves resistance to insects, moisture, and water.

Care & Instructions
・Avoid using a damp cloth. Always wipe with a dry cloth.
・When storing or transporting the knife, hold it by the wooden handle to ensure safe use.
